SCREEN ACTORS GUILD WINNER PREDICTIONS BEST PERFORMANCE BY A CAST ENSEMBLE

PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL 'PUSH' BY SAPPHIRE

COMMENTARY: This could be the push Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds needs to be taken seriously as Best Picture winning contender. If The Hurt Locker wins, I'd say it's done, The Hurt Locker wins Best Picture at the Oscars, which is already being predicted. Nine is a big cast of A-list celebs who are friends with all the many members of the SAG industry. I think Inglourious Basterds will win this at the end of the night.

BEST PERFORMANCE BY A MALE ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE
GEORGE CLOONEY- UP IN THE AIR
JEREMY RENNER- THE HURT LOCKER
COMMENTARY: If Jeff loses here, it's going to sting but in no way take him out of the running. Renner would be a great thing to see like Johnny Depp besting out eventual Oscar winner Sean Penn back in 2003. That's a big possibility but SAG will stick with their veteran actor never recognized.

BEST PERFORMANCE BY A FEMALE ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE
SANDRA BULLOCK- THE BLIND SIDE
MERYL STREEP- JULIE & JULIA
GABOUREY SIDIBE- PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL 'PUSH' BY SAPPHIRE
CAREY MULLIGAN- AN EDUCATION
HELEN MIRREN- THE LAST STATION
COMMENTARY: Meryl Streep won last year which makes me think they won't reward her two years in a row. Sandra is very popular with the actors which makes it foolish to think she wouldn't edge out the competition. This race is still wide open folks.

BEST PERFORMANCE BY A MALE ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE
STANLEY TUCCI- THE LOVELY BONES
CHRISTOPH WALTZ- INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS
CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER- THE LAST STATION
WOODY HARRELSON- THE MESSENGER
COMMENTARY I have to go different in at least one category. I think Tucci's rough year personally along with his great turn in Julie & Julia will give the actors inclination to vote for him. Christoph Waltz is relatively unknown among actors before showing up this year. They may even go Plummer's way to keep the veteran rewards going.

BEST PERFORMANCE BY A FEMALE ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE
MO'NIQUE- PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL 'PUSH' BY SAPPHIRE
ANNA KENDRICK- UP IN THE AIR
VERA FARMIGA- UP IN THE AIR
DIANE KRUGER- INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS
COMMENTARY This is the safest category to bet on. Mo'Nique will and should win the SAG and the Oscar. If there is a "backlash" then Farmiga is due for some love.
