Who will win the ACCA Best Picture?
|
You, the readers have voted and now we present to you the winners of the
2009 Awards Circuit Community Awards! Before the winners are revealed,
some interesting notes about this year’s contest should be put forward. This
year saw two of its nominees (George Clooney for Up in the Air and Meryl
Streep for Julie & Julia) add to their ACCA career totals. Clooney scored
nomination #2 from you guys and gals, while Streep gained her third nod. They
join Amy Adams (3 nominations), Cate Blanchett (5 nominations, tied for the
most), Leonardo DiCaprio (4 nominations), Robert Downey Jr. (2 nominations),
Paul Giamatti (2 nominations), Ryan Gosling (2 nominations), Keira Knightley (2
nominations), the late Heath Ledger (2 nominations), and finally Kate Winslet
(tied for the most with 5) in this illustrious group of multiple nominees. This
was also the second year to have a tie in any category (and there were 2, for
Cast Ensemble and Film Editing!), the first year to feature a Best Documentary
category, and the first to have 10 Best Picture nominees. Obviously, these
were an historic year for the Awards Circuit Community Awards, and without
